Offshore- Although right now is generally super hot Dolphin fishing, it has been very slow the last week or so. There are some nice fish offshore but they are not eating very good. If we leave the dock early we have been able to find them and get them to eat. The window however is small. We expect things to really pick up and go full throttle here very soon. There has been quite a few bill fish around though. Sail fish and Blue Marlin are scattered offshore. Skip jack tuna have been popping up lately out deep too. There has been plenty of nice triple tail hanging on debris also.
Reef- The mutton snapper have been red hot on the reef. These tasty fish are all grouped together spawning and have been eating just about everything. The Muttons average 5 to 8 pounds. Grouper are biting a little while we are catching the Muttons. Yellow tails are biting too.
Backcountry- If you can stand the heat Everglades fishing is going off right now. Snook,Trout, Reds and Tarpon are all in full swing. Night time fishing is good for Snook and big mangrove snapper. Juvenile tarpon are good at night too. Good luck,
Capt. George Clark Jr.
