Getting good

Hi guy’s things are well down here in the Florida Keys right now. The weather has been very good giving us plenty of sunshine and light winds. Afternoons have been decent but we have had a few thunderstorms passing thru since it has been very hot. Offshore fishing has still been up and down. Those darn Dolphin are tough to find some days but if you can locate a nice chunk of debris, chances are good that the Mahi will be there in the shadows. Big triple tail have been hanging around structure and the trick has been twitching a small hook up lure bucktail by them when they are floating up against the structure. The hardest part is keeping the small triggers and jacks from getting your bait. The triple tails will grab your jig for sure. Since we have had alot of fishermen coming down who like to eat fish we have been using our electric reels for fishing the bottom out deep. This style of fishing is really fun and has produced plenty of great eating fish. Golden tile fish and big rudders have lead the way and some nice snowie grouper and rose fish too. Make sure you check out some of the new deep drop photo’s on our picture pages on the website.
Reef fishing has been very productive of late. Beautiful Black Grouper are scattered up and down the edge of the reef. We have had most of our grouper sucsess fishing live baits while the mutton snapper have been hammering strip baits and smaller livies. Yellow tail snapper are still chewing very good.
King fishing is getting better every day. Bait migrations are helping Kings school up just off the edge of the reef from 150 to 200 feet. Black fin tuna are working there way thru this same depth also. Still waiting on the Wahoo to show up soon. Sailfish are getting better too. If you put the time in you can get some shots on the sails. You have to be patient though. If you are looking to get out there and have some fun book your trip online by pressing the online booking button and pick your date. Lets go have some fun.
Tight lines and clear skies.
