We are right in the middle between winter time and summer time fishing. Really, tons of options are available for fishermen the next couple of months including live bait fishing for Sail fish, King Mackerel, Wahoo and Cobia. Other options include bottom fishing for snapper, grouper, and Amberjack. Then there is the offshore scene which includes Marlin, Tuna and Mahi(Dolphin Fish). We are already seeing good Mahi showing up. These fish are between 10 to 15 pound range.
The backcountry has been very good lately for our all day trips. Our Cape Sable trip has been very productive in the lines of Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, Trout, Triple tail and even Spanish Mackerel. The scenery isnt bad either. Large populations of giant white pelicans, Bald eagles, Crocs and pods of bottle nose porpoises are back there. Warmer climates have made fishing in the glades extremely productive. If you are looking for a great trip pick the Cape Sable adventure. Its all about the March Madness folks!
Tight Lines,
